With the cooler fall temps in full-swing, my thoughts are drifting to the cozy comforts of whipping up a batch of cookies and banana bread. I can already smell the aromas lingering through the house. With that in mind, I picked up some silicone baking mats at Costco recently. They have non-stick properties that are supposed to be ideal for baking perfect cookies, and can withstand temps up to 450 degrees. It replaces parchment paper and greasy sprays when used in the oven for baking, and dissipates heat rapidly to prevent burning of cookies or pastries. Can’t wait to put them to the test.
Taste of Home and Betty Crocker have some great fall baking recipes and tips for using some of the array of typical autumn season ingredients such as apples, pears, pumpkins, squash, and sweet potatoes.
P.S. I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge that as of this date, my blog has now reached 100+ followers, wow! Although, this blog is still small, raw, and a work-in-progress, I’m enjoying the connections, interest, and encouragement from it. Though it may look easy to those who may be passively reading my blog (and other fellow bloggers) posts, there is actually (in most cases) much thought, time, and effort that goes into creating each post to keep it relevant and appealing. I’m always open to suggestions for topics. I welcome your thoughts and feedback.
